3 popular acts to stir it up at Harrah’s in Bluffs
Three insanely popular acts — Snoop Dogg, Bush and Bon Iver — are coming to Stir Cove at Harrah’s Casino in Council Bluffs.
The Dogg-father will play the Cove on July 28. His first appearance in the Omaha area was last June at Stir.
Snoop’s hits include “Gin and Juice,” “Drop It Like It’s Hot” and “Sexual Seduction.” He’s probably one of the most sought-after singers for music cameos. (He was featured in Big Time Rush’s “Boyfriend” song.) He endorses just about every product imaginable, from gum to cars to malt liquor.

Bush fans will get their fix when the British rock band makes its way to Stir on Aug. 13.
Frontman Gavin Rossdale knows fans want to hear such ’90s classics as “Glycerine,” “Machine Head” and “Everything Zen.”
In 2009, Rossdale gave a superb solo performance at the Whiskey Roadhouse, adjacent to Horseshoe Casino in Council Bluffs. To amuse fans, he performed a handful of Bush hits as well.

Indie rocker Bon Iver will perform at Stir with Kathleen Edwards at 8 p.m. Sept. 8.
Music critics said “For Emma, Forever Ago,” his 2008 debut, punctuated a new era of male sensitivity. His self-titled sophomore album reached second on Amazon’s alternative rock chart, 10th on the rock chart and 13th in pop.
Tickets for each show are $30 in advance. For Snoop and Bush, they’re $35 the day of the show. For Bon Iver, they’re $33 the day of the show. They all go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at www.stircove.com
