Run With You | Midnight

Lyrics

one night in a world
running away from silence
lost in a forest to find
your sad decline
cool burning wind runs through your hair
ever turning round
to free yourself of doubt

as a matter of fact
I can’t look back
I’ve got no place to go
and in my state of mind
keeps me mezmorized
left the rivers flow

I gonna run with you
run with you
run with you

cause you take me
you take me
away

run with you
run with you
run with you

cause you take me
you take me away
you do

waiting for the day to turn
I’m holding on
go head and slide (?)
I turn to you
I do
I do
fall into your fields of ecstacy
dreaming of a land where
we could be

and as a matter of fact
you take me back
to where I want to go
and in the dead of night
when I’m burning bright
you make me
whole

I gonna run with you
run with you
run with you

cause you take me
you take me
away

woh, woh

I gonna run with you
run with you
run with you

cause you take me
you take me
away

take me home

wooh

sin

woh, woh

yeahhhh

I gonna run with you
run with you
run with you

cause you take me
you take me
away

(repeat a dozen time)

run with you

About The Song

Band Thoughts:

“I would be happy about that (replying to the comment about Sony thinking of re-releasing the Midnight stuff) – we were no cheap Synthie-Pop-Band, but we made good rock music then already. The first single ‘Run With You’ was based on the impressions I had at Jim Morrison’s grave. There was this commemorative tablet saying ‘Jim, run with us’ and I found that great.”- Gavin

Staff Thoughts:

“I think this is the best out of all the Midnight songs, well of the ones that I’ve heard anyhow. I especially like the remix version. Lyrically, I think this is the closest to a Bush style song. It’s not as cheesy as some of the lyrics in the other songs.”- Laura
