Couldn’t You Wait?

Nigel Pulsford hasn’t made many (if any) appearances in the public eye since his split with Bush in 2002. In 2013, however, he appeared in a documentary about the band Silkworm. I have known about this documentary since 2009 while it was still in production, but I was unaware that it finally came out last year. So, I’m a little sad that it’s taken me almost a year and a half to see.

Puttnam Plays Puttnam

Sacha Puttnam is making waves these days with the release of his new album ‘Puttnam Plays Puttnam’. Released on the 15 July 2014 his “Solo Album debuts at no.5 in the classical chart.”- according to SachaPuttnam.com.

The new album is available on Amazon.com.

And if you happen to be in Dublin, Ireland next month you can catch him performing live with his father Lord David Puttnam. The will both be playing with the RTE Concert Orchestra at the National Concert Hall on September 13th

Album Cover In Progress

Early this year Bush had been in the studio working on new music. Another album is just around the corner. Yesterday Gavin Rossdale tweeted this teaser:

“Loving my London
How is everyone ?

Just been going through options for the cover

Sooo on our way to you x”

The new album may be closer than we think. This makes me wonder.. what new songs are in store? Will they be resurrecting and of the unused songs from The Sea of Memories? These tracks didn’t make the album, maybe this time around:

Beat of Your Heart
Whatever
River Runs Deep
Happy Families
Heroes Never Die
Kisses in the Rain
Lost in You (which has been around since Wanderlust and co-written with Dave Stewart)
Mountains
Please God Give Us Stronger

What about the two newer songs they band performed at some of their live shows last year? Will those make they cut

Loneliness is a Killer
This House is on Fire

Happy Birthday CT3

Happy Belated Birthday to Chris Traynor! He celebrated a birthday on Sunday. Hope it was wonderful.

Everything old is new again

Nigel Pulsford has resurfaced and is making some new music… from some old music, for someone (not sure for who). Nigel’s work will be released an EP on June 24th entitled “Ski Patrol In Dub”. It’s a remix of the single “Cut” that was released in 1981 by a band called Ski Patrol (not to be confused with Snow Patrol). Former Ski Patrol band member Ian Lowery was also a founding member of the band King Blank with Nigel.

A Double Happy Birthday

First off, a Very Happy Birthday to Sacha Puttnam. This is a tad belated, but hope it was wonderful! Miss seeing you on the road. It’s been over a decade.

Secondly, to Mr. Nigel Pulsford.. early Birthday Cheers! Have a Happy Happy Birthday! Thank you for having been a part of the Bush world! You are missed.
